Some server manufacturers quote much higher photo storage capabilities based on 1.5MB file sizes. The newer digital cameras shoot photo sizes that are 5MB and larger. They also quote higher storage capability for music, as much as 16 hours per gigabyte (GB) of storage. The average CD provides about 45-60 minutes of listening and takes up about 0.5 GB of storage space in uncompressed format. These high capacity numbers are for lower resolution music formats.
